History

In 1971, General Heat Corporation acquired a licensing agreement from Bertazonni SPA Italy as it achieved to distribute cooking ranges in CBU basis under the trademark La Germania.  As years go by, General Heat Corp. was able to produce cooking ranges in its present plant in Santolan, Pasig City and started enamelling operations with batch type furnace and later on a modernized enamelling operation with the installation of 2.0 ferro lightweight furnace and continuous conveyor system. In 1980, General Heat Corporation produced gas and electric stoves which are mainly found in every household. Commitment to better quality products succeed in venturing with export of table cookers for Indonesia market. In 1985, they were awarded as an OE Supplier to Electrolux Phils. for its cooking range requirement.  They introduced Electrostatic Enamel Powder Line, a first in the Philippines / Started exporting to Electrolux Brunei for cooking ranges in 1989. In 1990s, they were able to produce kitchen hoods with technical tie-up with Jet Air, an affiliate of Elicia of Italy. General Heat Corporation boasts with the accomplishments of the company: was awarded as an OE supplier to Camping Gaz for the Superkalan stove, likewise supplied Singer Sewing Machine for their cooking products / Became an OE supplier to MEPCO for the enamel of their washing machine spin tub, completed the automation of the enamelling plant with a spray wash metal preparation system, conveyorized handling and revolutionary two coat one fire powder to powder enamel application, Moreover, they started export of Superkalan stoves to Camping Gaz Indonesia, upgraded the assembly plant capacity from 300 units to 450 units a day, started exporting cooking products to Guam and passed the Australian Standard for electrical safety, exported electrical cookers to Australia, introduced washing machine with tie ups from Antonio Merloni of Italy and acquired the Quality management system certified to ISO 9002 Standard by Lloyd Register Quality Assurance through the millennium.
